Who Aangus is

Aangus is an initiative operated by its founders while the registration of Aangus Foundation (to be an Illinois not-for-profit corporation) and Aangus Corporation (to be a Delaware corporation) completes; no donations are accepted and none are tax-deductible until then.

The two arms are still real as work: the scholarship programmes, the Aangus Scholars and the Aangus Friends who stand behind them, and the software and research services that fund them. What has not happened yet is the registration.

Accounts and truth

Every account must contain true information. Aangus verifies accounts — students, parents, teachers, and reporters — and every account is activated only after review and approval by the Aangus team. We may decline, suspend, or remove any account, especially where information is false or a child's safety is at risk.

Children use Aangus with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, gathered during signup. Parents and guardians may contact us about their child's account at any time.

Scholarships

Aangus Scholars are selected and supported through the Aangus Foundation. Completing milestones and being approved to the waiting list does not by itself guarantee a scholarship; scholarships begin when a supporter is matched and confirmed. Scholarship terms — amounts, duration, renewal, and what happens if support ends — are stated within the portal, and Aangus works to keep support continuous.

For Aangus Friends — donation terms

No money is being taken through Aangus today. Until Aangus Foundation completes its charitable registration in Illinois, an Aangus Friend joins a waiting list; there is no payment button, and nothing is charged.

When support does open: the amount, the renewal window, how to cancel a recurring gift, and what happens to support already given are stated at the point of commitment, before anything is paid. A gift already made to the Foundation is not refundable once it has been applied to a Scholar's support; where it has not yet been applied, it can be redirectedor returned on request. Receipts carry the statement above about tax-deductibility.

Friends receive progress updates about the Scholar they stand behind but never personal or contact information, and may never attempt to contact a Scholar directly. Any attempt to do so ends the match and the account.

Conduct

Do not misuse Aangus: no false identities, no attempts to access another person's information, no harassment, no attempts to contact children, no interference with the platform's operation. Teachers confirm attendance honestly; reporters follow the meeting rules (approved locations only, with Aangus and parents informed).

Content

Learning materials on Aangus include material created by Aangus and links to material owned by others (which belongs to its owners). Aangus's own content, design, and name may not be copied or reused without permission. Information users submit remains theirs; by submitting it, they permit Aangus to use it to operate the services described here.

Some of the sentences, data and typefaces in Aangus come from openly licensed work by other people. Every source is named, with its licence, on the credits page.

Liability

Aangus provides its services with care but as they are. To the extent the law allows, Aangus is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

For Aangus Corporation services

Aangus Solutions and Aangus Research are services of Aangus Corporation. Commercial engagements are governed by the agreement signed for that engagement, which takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.

Governing law

Matters concerning the Foundation — scholarships, donations, and the Aangus Friends programme — are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Matters concerning Aangus Corporation and its services are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
